The form

It collects your name, phone number, ZIP code and what you type in the description. It also records the page you sent it from, the page you first arrived on, where you came from, and any campaign tags on the link you followed, so we can tell which pages produce real jobs.

The phone number

Calls run through a call-tracking service and are recorded. What is kept is your number, the time, the length of the call and the recording.

Who gets it

The operator who covers the Lansing area, so they can call you back and do the job, and the people who run this site. Hosting, form and call-tracking providers process the data on our behalf. It is not sold to advertisers or data brokers. Google Analytics also receives data from these pages, but nothing you type into the form or say on a call; the Browser storage section lists what.

Browser storage

No advertising cookies. One item is stored in your browser's session storage by this site's own code, recording the page you first landed on. It is cleared when the tab closes and only leaves your device as a hidden field on a form you choose to send.

Your browser is also handed _ga and _ga_CBN60DEXBK by Google Analytics whenever a page is opened at lansingdeadanimalremoval.com itself (a preview copy sends nothing); they are first-party analytics cookies that keep visits apart and tell a newcomer from a returning browser. The script, Google's gtag.js loaded from www.googletagmanager.com under measurement ID G-CBN60DEXBK, then reports to Google the address and title of every page you open and the page that referred you, the general type of browser and device, plus six kinds of action: phone taps, menu opens, request-removal links followed, form starts, submissions the form let through, and thank-you page arrivals. Your entries in the form stay out of it, with no name, phone number, ZIP or job details reaching Google Analytics, whose job is counting visits and seeing what on the site gets used, not handling your request.

Removal

Job details and call records are kept while they are useful for handling and paying for the work, then deleted. To have yours removed sooner, ask through the contact page from the number you used.
