How a Lansing job runs
This site is the front door. An independent operator serving the Lansing area answers the call, quotes the job and does the work. Here is the sequence, including the parts nobody can promise.
The call
Three questions: where is the property, where on it is the animal, can a person reach it. Size comes next. Species barely matters, and you are not expected to know it. "Something under the deck, been a few days, smells" is a complete description.
The price, before anything is touched
Most jobs are quoted on that call. If the operator arrives and finds something different, a bigger animal, a harder reach, more soaked material, they say what changed and what it now costs, and you can still say no.
The visit
A visible carcass is bagged and loaded. A carcass in an attic, crawl space, garage or deck void is found, bagged and loaded, and the soiled material right around it usually goes too. Whether the spot is treated, and how much surrounding material is removed, is agreed on the call rather than assumed.
What is left behind
The smell stops getting worse once the source is out and fades on its own after that, over a period that depends on how much soaked in. Rebuilding anything that was opened, replacing insulation across a whole attic, or treating a whole room are separate work, and whether the operator offers them is a question for the call.
Not promised, on purpose
- No arrival window. The operator sets a time once they can see their day.
- No cutting into finished walls or ceilings for a small rodent. If it cannot be reached without opening the structure, the smell is left to fade.
- No guarantee a search finds a body. If it does not, you are told, and you should not be booked for a second look on hope.
- No credentials are claimed here. Ask the operator directly about licensing or insurance if it matters to you.
